This peninsula in Mexico is divided into two parts - Baja California North (Norte) and Baja California South (Sur) - On the western shore is the Pacific Ocean and on the eastern shore is the Sea of Cortez - The peninsula is approximately 225 miles wide while the center is often mountainous with some desert -

Activities of all kinds are here for your enjoyment includingfishing, scuba diving, golfing, boating, hiking, biking, and kayaking just to name a few -

Whale watching in the winter January to April is a very big attraction here -

From Tijuana at the US border to the southern tip at Cabo San Lucas is approximately 800 miles - A good portion of the roads are in excellent condition but there are parts that are not so well maintained - You should be careful of animals crossing too -
