I am offering cheap B&B addresses all over The Netherlands - The price can be lower, if a customer will consider to rent an apartment for a week or so - If customers insist on staying within Amsterdam then I am afraid, that they have to accept cheap budget hotels - But why to be in Amsterdam where trains in the Netherlands are running 24 hours a day (where elsewhere do you find in that in our sophisticated world ?). So enjoy the B&B in The Haque and be within half an hour or so in Amsterdam. That's safer too !

Reply Posted by Stephanie Hotel Brian on Singel 69 has great prices and a cozy atmosphere. If I remember right it was 50 guilders for the two of us to stay there. If you go right from the train station you will see the Doors coffee shop and The Bulldog. That is the street that Hotel Brian is on. It is on the left side of Singel Street. They serve breakfast every morning too. Most places in Amsterdam are pretty cheap to stay in so I wouldn't worry about spending too much on a hotel.

It's located on the edge of the Red Light District and only about a 5 minute walk from the train station. There's mostly just coffee houses (read: hashish joints) all around the place, so don't be put off by the "edge of the red light district". At any rate, they've got hot showers, great big Irish breakfasts, great friendly guests, and individual lockups beside your bed for your stuff.
