  We are looking to exchange our home located in the suburbs of Paris, France for a pet-free, 2+ bedroom home/apartment in Chicago or near suburbs (Evanston, Oak Park, etc.) for 2 1/2 weeks this summer (late July/ early August). We will be traveling with our two children who will be 3 1/2 and 6 months at the time of our visit. We are looking for a 2 (or more) bedroom apartment or home which is more or less "child friendly" or at least open to children. Our ideal locations would be the north side of Chicago (Wicker Park, Lincoln Park, Lake View, Ravenswood, etc) or Evanston, but we are definitely open to other areas as well. Our house is located in a town called Colombes, which is 15 minutes by train from the center of Paris (Gare St. Lazare). It is a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom house with a small garden and patio. There is also a sleeper-sofa in the living room. The house is very sunny and cheerful, with all of the creature-comforts of an American home-- washer/dryer, dishwasher, cable, etc. We live 3 blocks from the train station which is a direct ride into Paris. We are a 10 minute walk to the main street, where there are bakeries, grocery stores, clothing boutiques and a cinema. There is also a bakery on the corner of our street, as well as a "farmers market" one street over which sells fresh produce, cheese, etc. every Wednesday and Saturday morning.
